October 2011: Black-throated Blue Warbler (Dendroica caerulescens)

Fall warblers can be tricky to learn, but this late-migrating male Black-throated Blue Warbler is easy to identify with his slatey blue back and wings, black face and throat, contrasting with his white belly. His spring plumage is much the same but brighter.
